  • Insurance Companies that may provide Caregiver Support Benefits
    1. Our practice will accept traditional Medicare benefits as a form of payment however Medicare will only reimburse for clinical services if they are conducted directly (face-to-face) with the resident.
    2. Medicare will pay for: 1.) Psychiatric Diagnostic Interviews. 2.) Individual Psychotherapy. 3.) Family Psychotherapy. 4.) Medication Management. 5.) Psychological Testing. 6.) Electro-convulsive therapy. Medicare co-pays and deductables are expected to be paid by the responsible party at the time of the visit.
    3. Medicare will not pay for: 1.) Physician phone consultations. 2.) Environmental Interventions. 3.) Psychiatric evaluation of records. 4.) Consultations with the Family or Staff. 5.) Preparation of reports. 6.) Physician or team conferences. 7.) Any unlisted Psychiatric service, therapy, or procedure.
    4. These noncovered services are billed to the family, facility or agency. You will be asked to sign an Advanced Beneficiary Notice to acknowledge your acceptance of these Medicare rules.
