R. E. Brown, MD is the Program Director of Avera Behavioral Management. Dr. Brown earned his undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University, Medical Degree at Meharry Medical College, and completed a dual residency in Neurology and Psychiatry at the Tulane University Medical Center.

Dr. Brown is Dually Board Certified in Neurology and Psychiatry. He specializes in assessing and managing the Cognitive impairments, Movement problems, and Behavioral disturbances that occur as a result of Aging. Dr. Brown has consulted to more than 250 Long-Term Care facilities throughout Georgia as a Neurologist and Psychiatrist with the state's Preadmission Screening and Annual Resident Review program. He has also served as a Psychiatrist for one of Georgia's Community Service Boards and is currently a Psychiatrist for one of the state's Assertive Community Treatment teams.
